Step 3:

After you pass the UBC real estate exam, you should start to shop for a suitable brokerage, before doing anything else. – You have a full year to join a brokerage.
But before joining a brokerage, you need to also register for the post UBC exam course, which is called the “Residential (or Commercial) Real Estate Trading Applied Course” — no more exams here, but there will be extremely helpful assignments for you to complete.

This is a TWO-PHASE course consisting of FOUR components. The FIRST PHASE consists of TWO components and will take TWO and HALF weeks, after which you will be eligible to apply for your temporary real estate license.
The components of the FIRST PHASE are as follows:
Component ONE is offered online and consists of study material and assignments – you will encounter concepts that we covered in our tutorial program.
Component TWO is a two-day face-to-face or Zoom classroom setting. – This highly interactive phase focuses on skills and practice through the use of case scenarios and role-plays.

Successful completion of component TWO of the FIRST PHASE will make you eligible to join a brokerage within a few weeks' time frame to get your Temporary real estate license.
If you do not intend to join a brokerage that soon, then you should not register for the applied practice course immediately after passing your UBC real estate exam.

Once you pass the UBC real estate exam, UBC will guide you and ask you to register for the applied course. The goal of this course is to help new real estate agents to be successful, get on their feet sooner, and be responsible agents.
