What Does It Actually Cost to Get Licensed in BC?
Getting your real estate licence in BC costs roughly $4,300 in mandatory fees before any exam prep. Most of that goes to UBC Sauder and BCFSA - not to us. Once you add board dues and exam prep, expect $5,600 to $7,700 to be licensed and board-registered - and closer to $8,500 for a full first year once brokerage and business costs are included.

| BCFSA licensing fee (first 2 years) | $1,700 | Paid to the regulator. |
| Board & association dues | $1,300–$1,800 | Real Estate Board, BCREA and CREA, once you're licensed. |
| Excel Realty Academy exam prep | $999–$1,499 | Plus 5% GST. Optional, but the UBC course alone leaves most students underprepared for how the exam is worded. |
